The Whole Earth Library is the community library of the tenants at the Thoreau Center and their neighbors in the Presidio of San Francisco. With a collection focused on the theme of sustainability, we support these organizations with resources on the environment, the economy, equity, and education.

It is a place to help you make sense of the natural world and your place in it.
